Conference over Labor Day weekend September on 3rd – 5th.

This year’s conference will take place at the beautiful
Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. We are planning a family
oriented, fun-filled event with a Leadership Workshop and Meet & Greet
on Friday, a day packed with fun for the kids, family friendly classes
and a surprise on Saturday, plus a carnival style Block Party Saturday
night and an incredible time of worship on Sunday as we celebrate 20
years as a church, in Texas.
As the temperature rises outside, visitors can stroll through the Gaylord Texan Resort’s four-and-a-half acres of lush indoor gardens and winding waterways, because the hotel’s enclosed atriums offer spectacular outdoor settings *inside* at a very comfortable 72 degrees. Make it a long holiday weekend and enjoy some of the SummerFest activities such as a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Grapevine and viewed from the top floor of the Gaylord Texan’s parking garage on Friday night. A DJ will help get the party started. The Wonderland Adventure offers a kaleidoscope of colors and characters with adventure all around including scavenger hunts, and a spinning vortex tunnel plus journey’s down the rabbit hole 3D black light maze. Do you play ROCK BAND? Stand on a full-sized rock stage complete with moving lights and full-sized stadium speakers and experience playing ROCK BAND on a 109 inch plasma screen!
During the conference, children (ages 4 thru 12) will be participating
in Vacation Bible School: Rome- Paul and the Underground Church.
Ancient Rome will come to life as they join together to explore a
crowded Roman marketplace…tiptoe past Roman guards…encourage
Christians in an underground church…and visit Paul for daily
discoveries about God’s love.
Be sure to register your walkers thru 3 year olds for the “STANDlings”
Class and help your kids grow a rich harvest at the 2010 Texas
Discipleship Conference. The STANDlings will have fun on the farm
growing fruits of the Spirit. They will grow love, sprout joy, plant
peace, produce patience and pick kindness. In addition, they will have
chance to try their hand at real-life farm activities, creating their
own blue-ribbon arts and crafts, going hog-wild playing fun games, hop
like bunnies in bounce houses and singing down-home songs. After a long
days “work” on the farm the Standlings will have an opportunity to rest
as they prepare for their parents return.
Meet me at the GrandSTAND! Come- hang out with us on the neighborhood block as family and friends in Christ gather to celebrate our devotion to one another at our Block Party. There will be games galore for all ages and interests. Step right up and play a carnival style game to win a prize! Meet us in the middle of the block to test your skills and endurance levels by riding the mechanical bull, competing in Sumo Wrestling, Jousting or Bungee Basketball!!! Come hang out at Gamers’ Alley to play Wii and Nintendo games. Stop by the Old Skool Corner for a great game of cards or dominoes. Don’t forget to meet us at the Grandstand Stage for our limbo and hula contests, and to dance the night away. This is something you don’t want to miss. See you there!!
Sunday promises an incredible time as we focus on the 20-year
anniversary of the Texas Churches. This will also be a time of reunion
and remembering between old friends along with a look at what the
future holds! All are welcome!
